Who we are:

World People’s Resistance Movement (Britain) is a democratic organisation that was set up to support resistance to imperialism and to support the revolutionary struggle of the oppressed peoples of the world. Imperialism is on the rampage. US-led imperialists have invaded Afghanistan and Iraq. They sponsored the devastation of Southern Lebanon by Israel in 2006. They also supported the Ethiopian invasion of Somalia in the same year that has created a humanitarian disaster of vast proportions.

Now the imperialists are extending their war against the people into Pakistan and continue to threaten Iran with attack. WPRM (Britain) supports the right of oppressed peoples to defend themselves when wars of aggresion are waged against them. We believe that the majority of the people of Britain want peace and we support the anti-war movement. We also support revolutionary struggles around the world, for example the revolutionary struggles being waged in Nepal and India. The oppressed peoples of the world have the right to overthrow repressive and reactionary regimes.

We support all those who fight Britain’s reactionary ruling class. The ruling class of Britain presides over a fundamentally non-democratic political system where real power lies in the hands of the wealthy and the ordinary people are oppressed by capitalism, racism and sexism. We always support the people when they come into conflict with this system and we believe that the participation of the British people in the global struggle against imperialism will lead to their liberation.
